This website is dedicated to The Original Soul Train Gangstars of the 1970's. These were the first dancing stars who
made Soul Train, a show of excellence, and set the foundation that many generation of dancers followed, but these dancers
have been overlooked and unsung, while others who came after them received more recognition. The Original Soul Train Gangstars
were the most creative, impressive, brilliant, and influential dancers of Soul Train, who wowed their
generation and generations after with their innovative dances and styles exuding beauty, class, and culture
for all to enjoy...BUT their most important achievement was inspiring all to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!
Being the first black dance show, these dancers were truly pioneers, especially pionners for many of the iconic
dances that many still do today. They also brought pride to many blacks around the world, who look to them as role models,
but they also introduced their culture for all to enjoy, and truly promoted love, peace, and soul in dance!
These dancers were just average high school teenagers, but because of their rawness, realness, creativity, charisma,
they became international stars!
Everyone had their favorite Soul Train Dancer, here are some of the Soul Train Gang below. Pictures
are worth a thousand words and actions speak louder than words...so SEE why the classic gang was excellent!
